1.Connecting to Reckon fails. This error may be due to
a.Reckon is not open on your computer
>Open Reckon in Multi-user mode
b.Reckon has not been configured to accept connections from HearAid
>Check Reckon Preferences
c.If you have installed a new version of Reckon and are using Windows Vista, 7 or 8, make sure that
>User Account Control is On and
>The data file is in a Public or Shared folder
1.Invoices are not created even though HearAid says an invoice has been created successfully
a.The most likely reason is that one or more HSP Items have not been mapped to existing Items in Reckon
>Check your Reckon Item List and make sure there is an item code for every item in the HSP Item Schedule. The installation program will install a document in the \HearAid folder, called Entering Taxable HSP Items in Reckon.pdf which offers suggestions on how you can manage HSP taxable items in Reckon
>Make sure there are also item codes for HSC and DEV. These two codes are used by HearAid when inserting invoices for client Maintenance Payments as well as invoice line items for Top-Up devices.
>Check the ACCOUNT_MAP table and make sure all the item codes are mapped to existing codes in the Reckon item list and that you have a customer code for the Hearing Services Program
