Setting Up a Reckon Interface

In order to successfully connect HearAid to Reckon:

1.Reckon must be configured to allow applications to access the Reckon company file:

a.Select File|Switch to Single-user Mode from the main menu in Reckon

b.Select Edit|Preferences from the main menu in Reckon, then select Integrated Applications

c.Make sure that the Don't allow any applications to access this company file box is un-ticked

d.Click OK to save your changes

2.Reckon must be open running in Multi-User mode on the computer running HearAid:

a.Select File|Switch to Multi-user Mode from the main menu in Reckon

3.The ibizqb4.dll  or inqb5.dll driver must be installed in the same folder as the HearAid7.exe program file (C:\HearSoft\HearAid by default). The HearAid installation and update programs, and the Accounts Interface installation program will install this file automatically

4.The first time you attempt to Export or Import client details, or to generate an invoice, Reckon will display the Reckon - Application with No Certificate window

a.Click the Yes, Whenever this ReckonAccounts company file is open radio button then click Continue

b.The Confirm to Proceed window will open

c.Click Yes and Done to complete the setup

You should now be able to interface successfully with Reckon
