HearSoft software updates are distributed as executable installation programs. Simply downloading the update file does not install a software update; you need to do a little bit more!
•If HearAid is being run on a network, all updates MUST be installed on the server FIRST
•After running an update installation on a server, a users MUST log in to HearAid using the SYSDBA username and password to ensure that any database updates are also completed
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1.Download the Update file from our web site by clicking on the link on the Download page. When prompted to specify whether you want to Open or Save the download file, always click the Save button! Note the name of the file being downloaded (e.g. HearAid0Update.exe) and save it to a location on your PC that you can find easily later… Documents or Downloads or ..\HearSoft is usually a good place
2.Once the Download is complete, use Download list in the web browser to locate the downloaded file and open the file
3.If the downloaded file is an executable file (i.e. has a .exe extension, such as HAClientInstall.Exe), just double-click the file's icon and follow the installation instructions
