Problems with dates being formatted in US mm/dd/yyyy style are a known issue with new installations of Windows 10 or 11 e.g. buying a new computer with Windows 11 pre-installed or upgrading to Windows 11 from Windows 7 or 10
If you open Time and Language from Windows Settings and reselect your locale it will likely solve the problem.
1.Open Settings from the Windows Start button
2.Select Time and Language
3.Under Region|Regional Format pick anything else. (eg: English (New Zealand)
4.Under Region|Regional Format pick your desired locale (eg: English (Australia))
