As can be seen from the screen shot, batch files are abstract-looking creatures which need tender care and management if they are to be acceptable to HSO! See the Prepare Batch topic for a detailed explanation of how HearAid creates them from claim data.

Batch files cannot be edited from this screen. If for some reason - a fit of madness, perhaps - you do decide to manually edit a batch file then under NO circumstances should you edit the file in Excel! Doing so will corrupt the file and cause it to be rejected by the HSP portal

Occasionally there may be a problem with a batch which is difficult to track down. At those times the best solution is to send the file to HearSoft for analysis

Batch files and their integrity are vital to electronic claiming with HSO and users are strongly advised against manually editing them, even when the HSO Help Desk or HSP staff suggest that course of action! However, there may be occasions when the best solution to an electronic claiming problem is to manually edit a batch file and when those circumstances arise users are urged to contact HearSoft Pty Ltd for assistance
