The Send Message menu on the Client Details toolbar allows users to send an email or SMS message to the selected client, provided there is an email address and/or mobile phone number entered into the client's record.

The same message interface is also used in Quick Reports|SMS, Database|Query|Mail Merge|Quick SMS, Database|Query|Mail Merge|Quick EMail and Clients|Table|Mail Merge
SMS Message
A subscription to SMS Advantage is required to use this function. If the selected client has a mobile phone number in either Phone 1 or Phone 2 fields, clicking the SMS item on the Send Message menu will open the Quick SMS form

A message can either be typed in directly, or a pre-defined template can be loaded from the Load from Template button. Templates can be created in a text editor such as Notepad and are stored as .TXT files in the .\HearSoft\HearAid\Reports\SMS folder. The current message can also be saved as a new template via the drop-down menu on the Load from Template button

EMail Message
An email client must be installed on the computer running HearAid to use this function. If the client has a valid email address, clicking the EMail item on the Send Message menu will open the Quick EMail form

A message can either be typed in directly, or a pre-defined template can be loaded from the Load from Template button. Templates can be created in a text editor such as Notepad and are stored as .TXT files in any available folder such as , a folder in the .\HearSoft\HearAid folder tree, or Public Documents, or any other folder.
