Importing Data is used to bring in data exported from another HearAid site, for either individual clients, or many clients. Importing can also be used to recover deleted client records

Click Import Data Now to import the data from the selected Zip file
The Work Area:

The process for importing data is the same for both a single client and for "bulk" new and modified data for multiple clients. The steps involved are:
1.The data is received as an attachment to an e-mail message
OR
if recovering a deleted client, will be a zip file in the ..\HearSoft\HearAid\Client Archive folder
2.Using your e-mail software, open the e-mail message and copy the attachments into a folder
3.Click on Tools in the Program Navigator
4.Click on Import
5.HearAid displays the Import Data window
6.Use the Folder Tree to navigate to the folder where the attachment was saved. There should be at least one Zip file in the list
7.Select the file(s) you want to import and click Import Data Now
8.You will be asked to confirm the import and if you click Yes the program will read the new data, search the existing database for each unique Record ID and either add the data if it is new to the database, or update any existing records
The Import function is similar to the Synchronise function, except that Import uses data contained in XML tables in a Zip file, whereas Synchronise connects directly to another HearAid.fdb database
