HearAid's text editors include Spell Check functions. As well as providing normal spell checking functionality, you can also use it to create your own "macro" keys. For example, "snhl" can be set up to automatically correct to "sensorineural hearing loss", which can save you a lot of time and typing!

Incorrectly spelled words are underlined in red. To correct an error, right-click on the word and select an option from the pop-up menu:

For more extensive correction options, select Spelling from the pop-up menu and the Spelling dialog box will be displayed

Users can specify their preferred Spell Check options:

In addition, HearAid also includes a Thesaurus. To find a different word, right-click on the word you want to change and choose an alternative from the list
