External Clients is the secondary client list which can be used with the Calendar when making an appointment

While most practices are unlikely to use this feature, those practices which contract services to other organisations such as hospitals or health services may prefer to keep clients seen in those locations separate from the main client database. For example, Goulburn Valley Hearing Clinic Pty Ltd is the contracted service provider to Goulburn Valley Health and Goulburn Valley Hearing Clinic receptionists make appointments for both private and hospital clients. The hospital client database has over 32,000 records and it would be clearly inappropriate to include those clients in the main client list. The External Clients table offers a means of meeting the needs of both clinics.

The Toolbar:

•Finding a client record is similar to using the main Search function: enter search criteria and press Ctrl+Enter or click the Search Now button

•Send Message can be used to send an email or SMS message to the client, provided an email address and/or mobile phone number is available
